When celebrating the exodus from Egypt, Passover games will add some fun to the occasion. On the first two nights there is a Passover Party seder, and the story is retold from the Haggadah. During the duration of Passover, it is forbidden to eat Chametz (leavening).
Passover Memory Game. Passover Memory Game is played by placing Passover cards, with Passover imagery, face down on a table. The object of the game is to match the Passover images with their twins.
Frog Bucket Toss. Frogs were one of the ten plaques that fell upon Egypt. Frog Bucket Toss is a game in which players must toss rubber frogs into a bucket. Have guests throw the frogs from a distance away to make it more challenging. The player who can make the most frogs in the bucket is the winner. Give each player a certain amount of throws per round. At the end of the rounds, the player with the most frogs made wins.
Find the 10 Plaques. Write the different plagues on an index card and then hide them around the party room for the guests to find. The 10 plaques include water to blood, frogs, flies, gnats or lice, locusts, livestock disease, boils, darkness, thunder and hail, and death of the first born. Put a time limit on it to get the guests going, and see who finds the most in the least time.
B.I.N.G.O. for Passover. Instead of playing B.I.N.G.O. with numbers, like the traditional game, this one is played with images from Passover. This makes for a great teaching tool for younger children who are learning the meaning and the different aspects of Passover. Once an image is called, older party guests can point to the image and give an explanation what the Passover symbol signifies and why it is important.
Passover Trivia. Have party guests answer Passover trivia questions. This is a fun game for young children learning the meaning of Passover and how important this time of the year is for the Jewish people. Ask questions to the party guests and give Passover stickers to the players who answer the questions correctly. The player with the most stickers at the end of the game is the winner.
Four Can Play For Passover. Passover Game of Four is played like a game of Go Fish but with the purpose of teaching children about the Sedar in a fun way.
Adding fun and games to your Passover party as you choose Passover party supplies and invitations will make your party a great success. While understanding the historical importance of any occasion, holiday, and event is vital to the spiritual and metal growth of an individual, it is also important to have some fun as well.
